The Mighty Dragon and the (mostly) Happy Kitty

    Sunday, October 31st, 2010

We had a great Halloween! The kids went trick or treating THREE times – morning (IKEA), afternoon (Gilman Village) and evening (neighborhood). Needless to say, the loot is good. :)

Unhappy I won’t let her have the camera…

She wanted to hug, he obviously did not…

Trick or Treating is better with Grandma…

    The Mighty Dragon is tired…

    Kate and Matilda Jane… a love story…

    Tuesday, October 12th, 2010

So, our favorite clothing company around here is Matilda Jane. It’s something of an obsession, really. When I heard they were holding a casting call for models, not only did I send in Kate’s photo, but also the following statement about Kate and her Matilda Jane. Enjoy…

    Hello Matilda Jane Clothing Company:

Kate is an unpredictable choice for cover model for an unpredictable clothing company.

Actually, Kate and Matilda Jane have a similar history:
they both started out small, and maybe looked a little different.

Perhaps at first nobody expected much, but before long, they both established themselves
as forces to be reckoned with.

Soon they both had followers, intrigued by their uniqueness and captivated by their personalities.

Soon, the world fell in love with their beauty.

In short, Kate and Matilda Jane are a perfect match.

Our trip to the (cloudy, windy, cold) Washington coast!

    Wednesday, October 6th, 2010

The Washington coast isn’t exactly known for its hot, sunny days, and we DID decide to go at the end of September, but yet we were somehow still surprised at the gray, cloudy days that greeted us in Pacific Beach, WA. Nonetheless, we had a great time playing in the sand, running the dogs (yay for a huge beach that’s dog-friendly!) and flying kites. We were also blessed with a gorgeous sunset one night – perfect for silhouettes.

On this trip, I also found a new love for my Canon 24-70mm. Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L USM Standard Zoom Lens for Canon SLR Cameras
